CREATING A WALK CAMPAIGN WITH PURPOSE.
Compassion International’s mission to release children from poverty around the world is a wildly inspiring one, so it was easy to buy into their vision for building a walk series to be launched nationwide. To raise awareness and funds for their mission, I started from the beginning, cementing the walk's core purpose, helping to detail the experiences attendees would have throughout the walk, and ensuring that this walk and its key takeaways would be different from the rest.
After Matchfire named the ‘Step Up’ walk, I was tasked with bringing the brand to life. I developed a campaign logo and an overall visual language, complete with illustrations and branded assets. These would be used across promotional materials, various signage a walk attendee would encounter throughout, and a mobile website one could use to guide their walk experience.
Early numbers have shown strong event participation, an online integration experience that is simple and intuitive enough to be used by people of all ages, and mostly importantly: above-average child sponsorship rates.
In other words––giving children around the world hope for a better life.
